| I believe that anti-discrimination laws should be inclusive of all people. I support expansion of current legislation to say that no Maine citizen should be discriminated against by any individual/organization at any time for any reason. | |||
| My top priorities if elected are DHHS/welfare reform and reform within Maine's prison system. I would like to utilize my background in social work and knowledge of Maine's welfare system to review every program currently implemented and scale back or eliminate those that are ineffective or unnecessary. I also want to reduce funding within Maine's prison system and reallocate these funds to a more effective rehabilitation model (ex. the Drug Court program). Less incarceration and more rehabilitation results in a reduction in recidivism and lower costs. |
