| I personally believe that abortion is wrong. I believe this divisive issue is used to divide and conquer the people of the US, forcing them to ONLY vote Democrat or Republican. I do not think our government should be involved in the doctor/patient relationship at all. People should think through their actions and hold themselves responsible for the choices they make in life. Government should not interfere with this, and should support a free society where people are allowed to make their own choices. If you are opposed to abortion, don't use the government to force your beliefs on others. | |||

| This section assumes that government revenues will continue to rise. In the economic times we live in today, this is simply not the case. I believe with the ridiculous amount of money we spend on government services if we reduce administrative and bureaucratic costs of basic services, we can increase spending on actual services, without actually spending more money on them. With Idaho state revenue in decline, we need to vastly innovate our application of services we provide by reforming and abolishing dilapidated programs and replacing them with new, innovative approaches. Technology will help us with this process greatly. | |||
| Again, we can cut spending at the bureaucratic/administrative levels, while at the same time increasing the quality of the services government provides through innovation and technology. History has proven time and time again, that higher taxes do NOT increase government revenue. If there is more money for lower and middle class families to spend in our economy, our society could once again flourish all the while, with a more active economy, government revenues can stabilize to a level were services do not need to be cut drastically. | |||
| Idaho already has a balanced budget. We have done quite well not going into deficit spending in the past and I wish our federal government could take a lesson on this from our great state. I have one proposal, one thing relating to energy, that could not only save this state a great amount of money, but will revolutionize the world-wide economy and all this talk of cutting spending and benefits to people who need them will become obsolete. | I believe campaign finance reform is one of the greatest issues our nation faces today. Campaign finance and the lobbying industry is the greatest source of government corruption. This corruption leads most young people to not even show up to vote because they think there is no difference in either candidate they vote for. In so many cases, the same corporations and PAC's donate money to opposing campaigns, and this leads people to think that their "representative" will go into office owing their contributors "favors". We should look into greatly reforming the system of campaign finance. | |||

| I think we should crack down on violent crime to person or property. Non-violent criminals are clogging up our court system, and causing a great expense to our state corrections system. It costs almost 3 times as much to incarcerate someone as opposed to providing them with a college education. My answer for e) should contain the words if it is non-consentual, then perhaps it should be considered a crime. I think too many activities are considered crimes in general, so I would like to not add to the penal code anymore than what is necessary for society to function. | |||

I also believe the economic problems we face are greatly due to the inflation caused by out of control government spending. We have plenty of money to provide government services and expand job training, financial services to businesses and individuals. The US spent $454 Billion Dollars on Interest on the national debt alone last year. This is on a total debt of 15.2 Trillion dollars. Our debt is projected to pass 23 Trillion dollars by the year 2015. | |||

I believe most teachers are good, and anything we do should strengthen our teacher base and should allow teachers the flexibility to do their job: Teach Children. I had some bad teachers in school, and why they kept their job is beyond me. Tenure is probably nice to have, but in any other job in the private sector, if you don't perform, you get fired. Why can't government employees be held to the same standards? We need to offer a globally-competitive education, while attracting talented, positive teachers. | |||

| e) I think climate change is natural. Our Sun is getting hotter, so all the planets in our solar system are "warming". However, pollution is accelerating this effect on the earth, but I do not buy into the UN carbon-tax plan. Anyone who researches energy, should look up Nassim Haramein. We desperately need to look beyond digging up substances buried in our ground for thousands of years and burning them to produce energy. The universe is made of energy, and technology has been developed to harness this natural phenomenon. A Great Worldwide Revolution is about to begin because of this! | |||

| The original intent of the 2nd Amendment was to allow "we the people" the right to protect ourselves from our own government. Violence exists whether its bombs, knives or guns. Violent criminals will always find a way to hurt others, that is why I believe law-abiding citizens should be allowed to carry guns and we should greatly increase punishment for any violent criminal offense. I will NEVER vote to take 2nd Amendment rights away. | |||

| Energy Policy: We can save our economy with the clean, cheap production of free energy. The technology exists, and Idaho can quite literally save the world if we allow this technology to be developed. Economic policy, Addressing Inflation: Our federal government's decades of out of control spending has had a devastating impact on our dollar's purchasing power, which affects all Americans adversely, especially the middle-class. It has been proven time and time again: increasing taxes actually decreases government revenues. I would proudly support efforts to lower our states income tax rate to help stimulate new economic activity in our state. |
