| With respect to capital punishment, it is my opinion that the state may not legitimately take a life, except in times of war. I respect both sides of this argument, however, and have held both viewpoints at various times in my life. With respect to question "d", regarding minors being prosecuted as adults, I would advocate for following the majority of states in this issue of jurisprudence, which I believe puts the threshold around 15 or 16. I believe that age is appropriate for prosecution as an adult for very violent crimes. | |||

| My top priority is to reduce taxes for small businesses and encourage job growth. I would roll back the Business Profits Tax, which ties up capital for businesses to hire new workers. Other priorities are to balance the budget and scale back the number of taxes and fees currently being levied against individuals and families. |
