| I believe the direct taxation of individuals goes against the spirit of our Constitution. It was against the law prior to the 16th Amendment. I support the repeal of the 16th Amendment (outlaw income tax!). Prior to income tax the federal government obtained funding through tariffs and excise taxes. We should return to this in addition to a consumption (sales) tax. American corporations are exporting our jobs because it is profitable for them to do so. That needs to change. Use tax breaks for domestic production. Use increased tariffs and capital gains for profits made with foreign production and labor. | |||

This is especially true with huge and unread bills that are turned into law. Heavy taxation of the American worker makes him/her uncompetitive in the world market. Limit the number of staffers serving Representatives, Senators and the President. 3.) Reorganize the federal government to eliminate extra-constitutional departments and bureaus, balance the budget, pay off debt and reduce taxation. A growing economy, thousands of new businesses and plentiful jobs should follow. 4.) Step down from congress and return to nurture my family, business and farm. |
