Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
The views of the far right are so extreme on this social issue, the Texas legislation is trying to scare women out of abortion by internal ultrasounds. External ultrasounds would be sufficient to show the fetus. Republicans should not have control over women's bodies, women should have control over their bodies. I support every woman's choice for the health care best for her.
Yes Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
I support our troops and their endeavors. My daughter's father is currently serving as an Army Sergeant and has served two terms in Iraq, and will be home from Afghanistan late 2012. I'm concerned for our troops and believe it is time to come home. The issues surrounding Afghanistan are deeper than we can resolve.

The past decade of war has contributed to our surmounting debt. We need to review our military contracts, and withdraw from Afghanistan to get spending under control. I support raising taxes on the 1% wealthy that now own over 40% of American finance. I do not support cutting programs that directly help our middle and lower income families.

American Job Creation - Corporate Tax Credit
I am committed to the middle class and those less fortunate. My priorities and committments while serving in congress will be to vote on legislation that: creates tax incentives for businesses to create and retain jobs in America; makes education, healthcare, and justice affordable to everyone; ensures fair gasoline prices; provides better access to healthcare for our veterans; protects social security, medicare and medicaid; and lowers the national deficit. Per our constitution it is the job of congress to regulate commerce. It is time for congress to work together to strengthen our middle class and boost our economy.
