| I did not agree with measures 66 & 67, they were made to look inocuous to anyone earning less than $250,000.00 and it cost our state jobs in some of the most trying economic times we have seen since the depression era. Decreasing those taxes will help stimulate jobs when we need them most. Those costs are passed down to all of us in unemployment and higher costs of goods and services. | |||

| Helping the private-sector create jobs should be our top priority. More jobs equals more income to tax and therefore less budget woes. The primary means state government has to create jobs is tax incentives. These are extraordinarily difficult economic times, we do not want to increase the burden on business during these times, we need to lessen the burden, lower fees and taxes do that. It pays for itself in increased employment. Let's allow business to accelerate depreciation in order to encourage investment now. Let's fund education and public safety first. Provide incentives to state employees to find/cut waste. |
