| I feel fortunate that I myself never had to make a personal decision about abortion. I would find it very difficult to make that choice. However, I would not like to impose my beliefs on anyone else. I feel strongly that abortion should be the decision between a woman and her doctor. I would like to limit the trimesters of legal abortion, but other circumstances (such as danger to the mother's life) could appear later than the first trimester so exceptions would have to be allowed. | |||

| I would prefer to take budget cuts in prisons over education. We should stop cutting education funding!! We urgently need infrastructure repair and getting people to work on it would also help our employment. However, it would require some funding/borrowing that is difficult right now. | |||
| Some corporate taxes should be increased and others decreased. For example, if jobs are being created in the US, especially in California, then some tax breaks should be provided. However, I would support a tax on all jobs created overseas, and impose import taxes. | |||

With collaboration, cooperation, and listening to all sides, we should be able to find some common ground and reach agreements. | I support limits on all of the above to some extent. However, it is currently more complicated than necessary and in addition it should make some sense in comparison to the limits for US government candidates. | |||

| I don't support the wording of the questions about minors. There can be a wide range of maturity and understanding of the crimes committed among minors. There should be some leeway offered to the courts/judges, etc. to determine whether or not adult prosecution is applicable. I do believe that if our federal immigration laws were enforced, we would not have our current immigration issues. However, enforcement by state and local police presents some conflicts because their firs priority should be public safety and immigrants may not be comfortable reporting crimes, coming forward as witnesses, etc. And, we want fed funding. | |||

However, I would prefer to streamline the approval processes and make it easier to comply with the regulations rather than eliminate regulations. | "Sometimes" is my answer to most of above. Nationally there should be some minimum standard since I don't believe a high school educations should vary that much between states. Some exit requirement is necessary, but exams might be just one of multiple requirements that would not all be required. Pay should include some merit (the difficulty is how you measure fairly), but also some on seniority, and level of pay should transfer between districts. Sometimes state funding for charter schools should be availalbe, if that's the option chosen to replace a public school. Illegal immigrant HS grads are in limbo. | |||
