Publications:
From 1997 to 2005, I was a columnist for New York Press (?Old Smoke?) and The New York Sun (?Past and Present?), which discussed local history, eccentric characters, and, sometimes, whatever interested me at the moment. I have published articles, essays, and reviews in Cabinet, New York Newsday, and Saveur I presently write occasional essays for City of Smoke, a blog published by my wife, Mimi Kramer-Bryk, a former theatre and cultural critic for The New Yorker and The New Criterion.
