Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I worked as a Congressional staffer between 2016 - 2020, where I saw firsthand how broken our political and policy process is - from campaign finance to representative engagement in the district, voters' interests are not at the heart of every Congressmember's policies.
I am running for Congress because I believe that all members of our community deserve to be represented equally, and that money has no place in politics. For four years I watched money influence votes more than constituents could across many offices in Congress. Our community has not had a primary challenge in eight years, so if I didn't offer another option, our community had no hope for change for the coming years. I am running to offer voters an opportunity to choose what matters to our community and what they see as their future.
