Father's Name:
Jerry Ausbrooks
Father's Occupation:
Retired
Favorite President and Why:
John F. Kennedy - Brought a new vision to America, one of service. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
Mother's Name:
Linda A. Perry
Mother's Occupation:
Factory Worker (Making less than $9.00 per hour, 40 hrs a week.)
Priority Issues:
Family-My priority is my family. Everything I am fighting for is for family, my family, my neighbor's family, the families in my community, state, and our nation. Living wages to bring our family out of poverty. Healthcare for all so our family can be healthy and strong. Climate change, I want our families to have a planet to leave to not only the next generation, but generations to come. Clean renewable energy so we never have to put of loved ones through the global crisis we are facing today. Free education so the burden of being educated and prepared for the future is removed and our children focus can be on building a better live for themselves and their family. Everything is about family, our family now or the next generation.
Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am seeking the office of United States Senate because for too long I have not been represented. Most of America have had their voices muffled and silenced by Washington. I believe that we all need to represented, not just the wealthy and powerful. Our interests are just as important if not so than any special interests. I know that together we can stand up to Washington and #BeTheChange. It is time "We the people..." are made the priority. I am running to restore integrity and true leadership in Washington that we can trust. I am a person of the people. I work 6 days a week, live paycheck to paycheck. I know what it is like to make hard decisions, make sacrifices, carry an overwhelming student loan debt, worry about an aging mother that cannot live on her Social Security benefits so she is working in a factory for less than $9 per hour to survive, a grandmother that is dependent on her Social Security and Medicare and is frightened she may lose her benefits, and the list goes on. Millions of Americans are struggling with some of the same fears and frustrations that triggered my decision to run for political office. I wanted to give a voice to the voiceless, I want to stand up to business as usual politics in Washington, I want those in leadership to be accountable for their actions.
