Father's Occupation:

My Father was a Preacher. He was killed in an explosion at the church when I was 4. My Stepfather was a truck driver - mostly hauling steel, and a truck mechanic.

Favorite President and Why:

Thomas Jefferson has been my favorite President since I read about him in my Fifth Grade American History class. I was impressed by his intellect in many disciplines as well as his foresight while writing the Declaration of Independence and as one of the framers of our Constitution.

Mother's Occupation:

My mother's first profession was teaching elementary school - primarily fifth and sixth grade. After my father's death, when my younger sister was 10 weeks old, she stayed home with her children for several years before going back to school to become a Real Estate Agent.

Personal Hero and Why:

My mother is my hero. She raised four children alone after being widowed and gave us a reasonably good life and an excellent education despite an income below the poverty level consisting primarily of a minimum level of Social Security Survivor Benefits.

Priority Issues:

Supporting and keeping our promises to Veterans; Improving Diversity and Inclusion for all; fixing our immigration system to make legal means of immigration and work visas more accessible.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

After years of watching the worsening division in Congress, and politics in general, I found myself looking for candidates that really represented the people instead of partisan politics and special interests. Finding none, I came to the realization that I needed to step forward and be that candidate instead of looking for someone else to do it.
