Favorite President and Why:

President Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge was one of our most underrated presidents. Coolidge wasn't a man with flamboyant looks or style, but he got things done in a quiet way. He came into office after World War I facing a momentous war debt, but instead of raising taxes, he cut the tax rate and government revenues increased, permitting him to eliminate the wartime debt.

Favorite Quote:

I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend. Thomas Jefferson

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for State Senate because Arkansas needs a new focus and that is on higher wages. Our District and Arkansas in general is experiencing increasing poverty partly due to low income wages. Building a Skills Training Center in NWA will help raise our people out of poverty and provide dignified lasting career success for people and families.
