Further, working to stem the rising cost of quality health care for everyone, especially senior citizens and families, will be a key issue for Mitchell. He will work to implement better health care reforms by advocating for health improvement programs, prescription drug relief, and better and more affordable access.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Tyler hopes to use his prior experience working in government to better advocate on behalf of his Lancaster and York county neighbors. In his time working for U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, Tyler saw the effectiveness of considering the impact of issues on constitutents rather than voting strictly party-line. As a Parliamentary Fellow in London's House of Commons, Tyler saw first-hand how small investments in a community can effect great results. He believes these experiences, along with those principled values he practiced at the Citadel, are essential for our next representative in addressing today and tomorrow's issues facing Indian Land, Lancaster, and Fort Mill.

Tyler believes that fixing our broken education system will be a top priority. Tyler will also focus on providing our Veterans with the services they have earned and deserved, as well as fostering economic development opportunities that will keep businesses here, bringing new investments into our state, and getting South Carolinians back to work.
