Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for public office because I truly feel that our district deserves a modern voice. I am raising a family in today's environment which has led me to run. I was a teacher who left the classroom because of the focus on testing and the inability to actually teach. I am a mother of a third grader who is appalled and concerned about the amount of stress and uselessness of testing that our students suffer under. I am a scientifically trained researcher. I understand the issue that impacts our district most of all. The discharges. I understand the science behind our lagoon issues and I am going to the state legislature (with your vote) to impact both of these issues. The state level is where many of these decisions are made and I feel that having a voice in both of these issues is what our district is lacking.
