Reason for Seeking Public Office:
"The momentum starts with you, and it starts now. Let's build a future of equity, shared prosperity, and community. I am running for office because our communities have been neglected for too long, and that must change now. Due to neglect, we have the worst incarceration rate for black males in the nation. Jobs are gone. Our public schools are underfunded. Together, we can do so much better. I will take on this fight. I envision a community where justice applies to everyone regardless of zip code, where work is available, and where children can attend robust public schools. I chose to be a public defender to make a difference. I fight hard every day for the marginalized citizens in Milwaukee as their voice in court. Now, I want to fight for all of you as your voice in government. And we will realize the vision of equity, shared prosperity, and community together. That is my mission, and here's how we do it."
