Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I come from a family of entrepreneurs, my husband works for an entrepreneur, and our daughter has a degree in business entrepreneurship and is trying to launch a business. I see every day how the climate created by federal regulation restricts entrepreneurs from controlling their business plans to optimize job creation and stabilize their finances. If entrepreneurs suffer, communities suffer, and individuals and families suffer. The policies coming down from the federal government are creating hardship at many levels, which can be relieved by unleashing the creativity of entrepreneurs. In addition, after four years of fighting against the Common Core Initiative at local and state levels of government, I was exasperated that Congress passed the Every Student Succeeds Act. District 7 is where I live. I love the people of the Ozarks and would like to represent them in Washington in appreciation for the blessings they have been to my family and me.
Spouse's Occupation:
Tom currently works for Springfield entrepreneurs in their family-owned business.
