Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for office because, like most of you, I am convinced that inequality is the greatest injustice of all. The so-called recovery isn't coming fast enough. Meaningful, well paying jobs are still scarce, and extremists in Congress are obstructing any attempt to fix the problem.
Instead of serving our common interest, Washington Republicans have chosen to wash their hands in a sea of money and power unleashed by the largest corporations. Ordinary people are left to bear the burden of increasing taxes, and out of control prices on the most basic needs like healthcare, housing, and education.

As a principled and pragmatic Democrat, I believe that it is our small businesses and our hard working people who form the backbone of our district and of our nation. Yet, elected leaders have chosen to divide us, and ignore our real concerns.
