Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I would love to share with you why I am running for office and invite you to join me as we work toward a future for our area that we can all be proud of. Please consider donating to the campaign as we work hard for this district.
I am running because the citizens of our state have so much in common and divisive policies have separated us. When we are separated from each other we do a disservice to the promise of our state and the potential of our future as Minnesotans. Our greatest resources will always be the citizens of our state. We are stronger than much of the country because we invest in and support each other. This means advocating for policies like paid family leave and other programs that help Minnesota families build a stronger future for themselves.
With your help, I would like the opportunity to strengthen our schools and communities, to promote the creation of good jobs, and to invest in transportation infrastructure that reflects our shared values.
As a small business owner, a 40 year sheet metal workers union member and the DFL endorsed candidate for our area, I hope to be the voice who have gone unheard in our area for years. Elected officials have a responsibility to work with everyone-not just the left or the right. I promise to uphold that ideal on the campaign, and hopefully in elected office. My opponent clearly did not understand this philosophy.
Our campaign is already off to a strong start, but we need everyone's help if we are going to be successful this year. 2016 presents a unique opportunity to change the negative political conversation and take back this district on a campaign run on shared Minnesota values. The history of Minnesota is rich with stories of people working to help one another to create a better environment in which to live and work while improving the region for future generations. We can and must live up to our potential!
