Reason for Seeking Public Office:
My name is Chris Harrison and I'm running to be your next State Representative for House District 97. I'm looking forward to this journey and representing my home of over 40 years, House District 97.
Oklahoma is at a crucial turning point and I'm confident that my experience as a small business owner and my years serving on the Millwood School Board makes me the leader our district so desperately needs. I've seen first-hand our inadequately funded schools and the barriers that are in place for small businesses and regular, everyday Oklahomans to get ahead. We cannot afford to wait one more minute on coming up with solutions to the challenges we face.
I am very proud to have called House District 97 home my entire life. Being born and raised here, I have experienced the transition of our community and I know first-hand the direction our district needs to go. I'm confident that with my experienced leadership, we can continue to move our district forward. This community has raised me, has educated me, and has supported me and my family. My grandfather J.B. Bratton, who founded Emmanuel Baptist Church has been a model of service for me my entire life. I'm prepared for the opportunity to continue the tradition of strong service to the district I am proud to call home at the State Capitol.
I encourage you to learn more about our campaign. In the coming months, I hope to visit with you about how we can move House District 97 and Oklahoma forward together. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to get more involved in our campaign or if you have any questions about my candidacy.
Thank you,
Chris Harrison
