Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for the North Dakota House of Representatives because Mandan and North Dakota deserve better. I have never been someone that sits in the background and let be what needs to be. I am always the first to jump up, volunteer and fight for our North Dakota family values.
There are hard working, honest people in North Dakota that need a voice. I will stand up for all North Dakotans.
With oil prices falling, we need to work towards a more diversified economic approach while limiting the growth of spending. There are workable solutions available that will continue to support an environment for small business, agriculture and oil development.
North Dakota is facing a mental health and addiction crisis. We need to work hard to find a solution while addressing the shortage of psychiatric and addiction services. The ND Legislature needs to continue funding programs that will provide critical investments in mental and behavioral health, challenges that have become particularly stark throughout the state.
I want to fight for our Veteran's past and present. I have lost many of my brothers and sisters in arms since returning home from Iraq. This is unacceptable. I strongly urge that all steps be taken to ensure that all veteran's receive the services they need to live beyond the battlefield.
Children are our future. I support funding for developing our childcare services throughout North Dakota. I recognize the enormous potential throughout the state. We need to find workable solutions to build a stronger, safer North Dakota.
