My paternal grandmother is my personal heroine. Her life was not easy by any stretch of the imagination, and she could have become a very bitter and angry adult. But she was the kindness, most non-judgmental, loving, and devoted person I've ever known.

I believe District 46 needs a new voice for its citizens. Someone who will care about and work for the people on issues that directly affect their daily lives, such as affordable health insurance, a living wage, equal pay for equal work for women, supporting public education, and protecting our senior citizens and veterans.
