Priority Issues:

My Core Legislative Principles:
For Proposed Legislation:
1) Does it align with the Judeo-Christian tradition?
2) Does it align with the preamble of the Constitution?
3) Does it align with the Articles and Amendments of the Constitution?
4) Is it necessary?
5) Is it affordable?
6) Is it the will of the 5th Congressional District of Oklahoma?

I Will Fight To:
*Protect Life
*Defend Religious Liberty and Family Values
*Defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
*Balance the Budget and Protect the Free Market
*Promote American Sovereignty
*Reinforce States' Rights
*Strengthen our Military
*Secure our Borders
*Support our Veterans

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

As a husband, father of six, retired Naval Commander, and business owner, it was my intention to work locally and enjoy the life provided by the freedoms so many of us swore to defend. That is no longer an option.

The Fifth Congressional District of Oklahoma deserves a representative that will fight for freedom, on every front, to return our country to its Constitutional principles.

In December, our representative voted in support of the $1.1 trillion Omnibus bill, H. R. 2029 [1][2][3]. He voted "Yes", on a 2000 page-plus bill (half a box of printer paper) while having less than three days to read it. This bill spends over $3000 per person in the U.S.

At a minimum, this bill funded:

Planned Parenthood [4]
"Obamacare" [4]
Sanctuary Cities [4]
Illegal Executive Amnesty [4]
Russian rocket engine purchases [5]
And the ill-conceived Syrian refugee resettlement program [4]

Our representatives are charged with the duty to uphold our Constitution. This bill does not make it past the preamble.

This bill does not "Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."
This bill does not "promote the General Welfare."
This bill does not "insure Domestic Tranquility."
This bill is an attack on the American Citizen and the dignity of human life.

Now, as we are well into 2016, we witness a new series of votes to defund what congress voted to fund in December. This is not representative government.

As I challenge the entrenched establishment, I ask for your prayers, your support and your vote.

My promise is that I will not compromise the inalienable rights of our Citizens for a divisive set of abstract collective rights. I will put God, the Constitution and the American Citizen first, not the "political tactic," and I will faithfully carry out my duty as your representative.
