Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Let me tell you why I want to represent you. Too often elected officials run dishonest campaigns, promising to represent the people, then once in power only represent special interests who pad their bank accounts in return. The people of this district want a congressional representative who cares about them and will fight for the people, not corporate interests. This is why I am running, for you and your family. There are a lot of issues in our district and our nation. Unemployment in our area is twice as high as the national average. Our median income is $16,000 less than the national average. We have crumbling roads and bridges everywhere you look. We have state employees begging for pay raises but instead are seeing unqualified workers take their jobs. Right now we have politicians working with the nation's most powerful lobbying groups to pass an anti-union bill called Right to Work. This attack on working people is another example of the greedy corporations and elected officials on the far right harming the middle class. I want to stand up and fight with you, the working families of our district, to secure the future of our democracy. It is too late to stay with the status quo. We will stand against corruption to bring back the middle class, bring back our jobs, and bring back our local farms and businesses. We will lead this district with your voices and your ideas on how we can grow and prosper. I truly care about you and your concerns and want to hear from you. This is how America should be.
