Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for Congress because, as a citizen and taxpayer, I am not happy with what is going on in Washington. We elect our officials with the expectation that they will do the right thing, but instead all we are getting is non-stop bickering and arguing. I believe the worst offenders are the career politicians in Congress. Their main responsibility is to represent the citizens of the district they represent, but in fact their sole focus is getting re-elected. To do so they accept large amounts of money from special interest groups and end up becoming obligated to them. Career politicians may say they represent you and me, but in reality they don't.
