Priority Issues:

represent the interests of Sioux County constituents; serve the legislative body by drawing on my own background and experience in education specifically and public policy generally whether it be in the area of fiscal matters, budgetary concerns, or health care; finally, maintain, but ideally improve, an economic environment (this is what I'm talking about) that encourages entrepreneurship, innovation and job creation in Sioux County.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

finished a close second to Representative Kooiker in an unexpected nominating process back in December 2014 (we each had 45% of the vote on the second ballot, John won the nomination on the third ballot and easily went on to win the special election in January 2015); then and now I was encouraged to run by, among others, Denny Wright, Sioux County board supervisor; I also have long care deeply about the rights and responsibilities of Christians in public life. Feel my background, education, and experience dovetails nicely with the representative role; have assumed numerous leadership positions throughout my career, ones both elected by peers and appointed by administrators; want to champion the Sioux County story by serving the interests of its constituents well.
