"Evil flourishes when good men
do nothing" *
I fear for the safety of our country more than I enjoy my retirement! I fear for the world my children and grandchildren are inheriting more than I like tinkering with my old ford, helping with little projects at church, around the neighborhood and having coffee with the guys! It is especially fun to visit friends, family and attend grandchildren's games!
To run for United States Senator is a decision that has taken several months and much prayer to make. I finally realized being a politician is not a sin, it is only a sin when we ignore God's will in our decision making. At one point I decided not to run, but I kept getting subtle messages through sermons, the news and bible studies.
Washington, D.C. is a corrupt mess! The only way to fix it is to elect new people of integrity who will keep their promises! I love my country more than I enjoy retirement. It will be an honor to serve Oregon and the United States of America as your U.S. Senator!
