* Reduce local intrusion by the federal government
* Learn about our District?s critical needs and foster solutions
* Remove the federal government?s regulations and intrusion into our local education system
* Make health care simple to purchase and once again affordable
* Allow our mental health and chemical dependency community experts to drive solutions-based programs
* Attract manufacturing, energy and medical businesses to re-energize our -local economy
* Block non-US citizens from taking jobs away from Americans and require tight vetting requirements of non-Americans
* Improve employment opportunities and healthcare for our Military Veterans nationwide
* Create an innovative federally-funded start-up initiative to improve the transition of Foster Care Children from youth to adulthood ? develop and implement a best practices national model in Cuyahoga County
* Void the Iran deal, shore up US relationships with our allies, put our enemies on clear notice, and resume our 'no daylight' warm friendship with Israel.
1. Ensure that future federally-based K -12 education legislation will in no way interfere with parents? choices of where they will send their children to school. Success of student is guiding principle. Revenue Neutral.
2. Reduce dramatically healthcare cost (repeal ACA and replace worthwhile components); return to Medicare funds improperly transferred in ACA legislation. Revenue positive.
3. Reduce federal government involvement in other local level issues: i.e. land, water, sewer, police, healthcare, etc. Revenue positive.
4. Promote eradication of Drug and Alcohol Abuse through support of H.R. 953: Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2015: Directs DHS to convene a Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force, to develop / disseminate best practices for pain management via prescription medications, and amends 1968 Crime Control & Safe Streets Act to authorize the US Attorney General to block-grant implementation dollars back to states.
5. Establish permanent American Energy Independence - Mandate DOE / NRC support for path to licensing and commercialization through private investment of Generation IV Advanced Nuclear Technology. Ohio key site for thousands of jobs. Fund via transfer from Nuclear Waste Management Fund.
6. Increase representative?s attention to local district communities and constituents and their issues brought to my attention.
7. Legislate additional and improved benefits to Veterans relying on Concerned Veterans for America platform.
8. Address crisis in Foster Children Care, challenges in their emancipation, nutrition, transitional housing, education, employment, mental health; and revisit the concept of group housing options with licensing and mandatory oversight.
