Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I had hoped to support another candidate for this position. But when that candidate didn't step forward, I did. There is no bigger issue facing our state's future than Common Core, and Tate Reeves supports it despite his rhetoric. Twice in the past two years Tate Reeves had an opportunity to lead the State Senate in support of legislation to end Common Core in Mississippi. He fought it and he killed it. Thanks to Tate Reeves, Mississippi still has Common Core today.
I have not run for public office before and the phrase underdog certainly applies to this campaign. But Tate Reeves needs an opponent. Tate Reeves needs an opponent who will call him out on his support for Common Core, and a lot of other things. I am that candidate.
Enough is enough. Mississippi has been ranked the most conservative of all 50 states. Let's take the lead. Let's stop Common Core. Let's phase out our state income tax. Let's bring Constitutional Carry to Mississippi. Let's stand up for our conservative values and say no to the Obama Agenda and that includes stopping any ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion in our state.
