Favorite President and Why:

My favorite president is James Madison. The reason why is because he understood the importance of driving our country to unity by looking at all options, and even developing new ideas based on the concerns of both parties. Also, his understanding of the strength of checks and balances of our great nation has built a nation that is not just based on majority rule, but a nation that is built on driving consensus rule.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I seek office because it's past time common sense be brought back to the state legislature. I hear too often that politicians are corrupt and that an honest person can't win; part of why I'm running is to show that an honest person can win. Another part of why I'm running is because I want to offer third options that will break the dead lock that has reduced constructive debates to destructive arguing. The final reason is that I seek to serve the people, so that at the end of the day I know the people have been served well.
