Reason for Seeking Public Office:

1.
Why are you running for Congress?
Or why do I want to join a group with a 9% approval rating?
The answer to that is similar to why did I become a Federal Flight Deck Officer, armed pilot, in the last two years of my airline career. It was readily apparent that no government supplied service was going to provide what I needed for the safety of my passengers and crew. That's why I went through the extensive screening and trained on my own time and dime.
In a similar fashion, the congress in general, and our congressman in general are not providing the representation we need in this critical time of our country. Having kept active in contacting my elected representatives, writing letters to editors, and other commentary, I have familiarized myself with the important issues. When I see no action to make things better, I saw the need to help my district and offered my willingness to serve them.
2.
How will you be any different than the incumbent?
In addition to all the other differences on issues listed elsewhere on this website, I will serve you by reading the bills. I believe that saying 'we have to pass the bill to find what's in it' will go down in history as one of the dumbest, most irresponsible, and dangerous things ever said. If you choose me to serve you, it's my job to know what I cast your vote for and to treat any expenditures with the same care we keep our personal finances in order. It's our money that is being spent and it needs to be used wisely, frugally, efficiently, and effectively.
