Reason for Seeking Public Office:

To bring back a lost art - actually representing the people in one's district in Washington, DC. Special interests have run amok and current campaign financing laws allow officeholders and candidates to pander to everybody except the people they are there to represent. We have huge issues to manage in this country - a rational and sensible gun policy which protects the 2nd amendment but also protects our kids, protecting women's rights to choice, medical benefits and equal pay, action on climate and the protection of our environment, doing a much better job for our veterans, ensuring that no small business should ever again have to endure a Sequester or government shutdown, comprehensive immigration reform, restoring public education to excellence, eliminating government waste, supporting our middle class with a tax cut, keeping the cost of college and student loans down, being certain every American has access to affordable health care and solving the ongoing water crisis in California and Orange County. It can be done, by a statesman who puts country and people over politics and special interests.
