Personal Hero and Why:

My maternal grandfather, Vernon Smart. He lived through the Great Depression, served in WW2, provided for his family and was a good Christian man. He's the one that really inspired my interest in politics, since he was elected Carroll County Commissioner in the 1980s. May he rest in peace.

My first priority is my faith. Secondly, my wife and family. Third, my fellow Kansans.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

To serve the people of the great state of Kansas, and to give them a voice in these crazy and uncertain times.
