CREATE NEW JOBS WITH MY ECONOMIST-ENDORSED PLAN
We need more jobs in this area and we need them right away. My job creation plan was endorsed by three prominent economists with local ties. Instead of throwing your money at lobbyists, I will work to:
* Make Our State's Tax Rates More Competitive
* Give Extra Tax Breaks for Net New Job Creation
* Ease 'Red Tape' for Small Business

LOWER ENERGY COSTS AND IMPROVE LOCAL ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
We already have cost-effective low-impact green power options for homeowners and farmers. The cost to put in these systems can be high, but the return is well worth it. We should increase reimbursement rates for power sold to the grid, improve tax breaks, and streamline permitting for small, locally-owned renewable energy projects in Massachusetts.

GIVE CONTROL OF SCHOOLS BACK TO LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS
The current system of state mandates and strong superintendents leaves children vulnerable and leaves parents and teachers unable to provide the best education possible. We should restore local control of schools with a focus on students' needs.

INCREASE LOCAL AID TO TOWNS BY CUTTING WASTEFUL STATE SPENDING
Right now, Beacon Hill is wasting your valuable tax dollars to benefit their friends and political allies. We can save enough money to increase local aid, fix our crumbling roads and bridges, and even lower your taxes if we just:
* Eliminate Junky Old Agencies like MassPike
* Close Down Earmark Slush Funds
* Cut Overpaid Bureaucrats from the State Payroll
* Trim Unneeded Rules & Unfunded Mandates.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am not an outgoing person. Shaking the hands of complete strangers and inviting their ridicule by expressing my opinions does not come naturally to me. My whole life I've been waiting for the "perfect" politician to come along and rescue us all. Obviously, it didn't happen.

I guess that things just got so bad that I became more scared of doing nothing than of talking to people. I realized that there isn't a perfect politician, there's just us people, and if things were going to get better, some of us ordinary folks would have to challenge Beacon Hill's ruling elite.

I'm hoping that I can encourage other everyday, average folks to challenge incumbent politicians, in every district, every election. We need more new faces, new voices, new directions, and new ideas in our government. I intend to keep fighting until the change we need becomes a reality.
