Vote to adopt a joint resolution that establishes a Constitutional amendment that requires photo identification to vote in person in Ohio.

  • Specifies that the provisions of this joint resolution shall be proposed to the electors of this state for approval at the November 3, 2026 general election as an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Ohio (Art. 5).

NOTE: AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES THREE-FIFTHS APPROVAL IN EACH CHAMBER FOR PASSAGE. IT MUST THEN BE APPROVED BY A MAJORITY OF CITIZENS VOTING IN THE NEXT ELECTION TO BECOME EFFECTIVE.
