Vote to override a veto of a bill that requires health care institutions to accommodate employees who are against abortion in New Hampshire.

Highlights:

• Requires any health care institution in the state that provides abortion services to annually provide its employees who provide abortion services with written notification of the following (Sec. 1):

• That an employee who provides abortion services may request a reasonable accommodation of a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction that conflicts with their participation in an abortion;

• That if the employee believes that their request did not pose an undue hardship on their employer, and the request was denied, the employee may file a complaint with the attorney general’s office; and

• That if the employee feels they have been discriminated against by their employer for their beliefs that conflict with participation in an abortion, they may file a complaint with the attorney general’s office.

• Requires the attorney general’s office to annually create a report on the number of reports their office has received under this section (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that this act takes effect January 1, 2027 (Sec. 2).
