Title: Prohibits the Mislabeling of Colorado-Grown Agricultural Products
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the mislabeling of Colorado-grown agricultural products.
Prohibits a person that is selling, marketing, or advertising an agricultural product from identifying it as being grown in Colorado unless it is grown in the state (Sec. 2).
Prohibits the use of the “Colorado Proud” designation or trademarked logo without authorization from the Department of Agriculture (Sec. 2).
Classifies a violation of this section as a deceptive trade practice (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this section does not provide the basis for and is not subject to a private right of action for its violations (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this Act is effective August 12, 2026 (Sec. 4).
