Title: Specifies Qualifications for Psychologists To Review Medicaid Appeals
Vote to pass a bill that specifies qualifications for psychologists to review Medicaid appeals in Oklahoma.
Authorizes licensed psychologists to review appeals of adverse determinations under Medicaid, if deemed appropriate (Sec. 1).
Requires all psychologists that review appeals to possess a current and valid unrestricted license under the Psychologists Licensing Act in any United States jurisdiction (Sec. 1).
Requires all psychologists that review appeals to be of the same or similar specialty as those who manage the specific medical condition or disease in the case (Sec. 1).
Requires all psychologists that review appeals to be trained and experienced enough to determine whether the service in question is medically necessary or clinically appropriate (Sec. 1).
Specifies that this Act shall become effective November 1, 2026 (Sec. 2).
