Vote to pass a bill that authorizes limited licensure of certain foreign physicians in Nevada.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the Board of Medical Examiners to issue a limited license to practice medicine to a graduate of a qualified foreign medical school who holds a license from that country, except for Canada (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that an individual must have completed a residency or other postgraduate training program, or have performed the duties of a physician in the foreign country prior to being granted a limited license in Nevada (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the Board to require an applicant for a limited license to take an additional examination if they have not performed the duties of a physician for a continuous two years (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that a holder of a limited license may only practice medicine under the supervision of a physician who holds a valid unrestricted license (Sec. 1).
