Vote to pass a bill that requires the preamble of the Pennsylvania Constitution to be displayed at the entryway of all schools in the state.

Highlights:

• Requires the governing board of each school entity in Pennsylvania to display the Preamble of the Constitution of Pennsylvania - which reads: “WE, the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, and humbly invoking His guidance, do ordain and establish this Constitution” - at the entranceway of each school building (Sec. 3).

• Requires the display to be in the form of a mounted plaque, and authorizes artwork from a student contest to be included in the display (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that this Act shall take effect in 90 days (Sec. 4).
