Title: Requires the Preamble of the Pennsylvania Constitution to be Displayed in Schools
Vote to pass a bill that requires the preamble of the Pennsylvania Constitution to be displayed at the entryway of all schools in the state.
Requires the governing board of each school entity in Pennsylvania to display the Preamble of the Constitution of Pennsylvania - which reads: “WE, the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, and humbly invoking His guidance, do ordain and establish this Constitution” - at the entranceway of each school building (Sec. 3).
Requires the display to be in the form of a mounted plaque, and authorizes artwork from a student contest to be included in the display (Sec. 3).
Specifies that this Act shall take effect in 90 days (Sec. 4).
