Title: Improving Care in Rural America Reauthorization Act of 2025
Vote to pass a bill that extends certain grant programs administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration for rural health providers through fiscal year 2030.
Extends through FY2030 grant programs administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) that provide funding to health care service providers and related entities in rural areas (Sec. 2).
Extends, by reauthorization, grants for the following (Sec. 2):
Expanding the delivery of health care services in rural areas;
Developing integrated health care networks (i.e., collaborative groups of local health care organizations) in rural areas; and
Improving the quality of services provided by small health care providers in rural areas.
Requires HRSA to ensure that grant funds for expanding services or developing health care networks are used to both (Sec. 2):
Meet the health care needs of underserved populations; and
Engage such populations in the planning and implementation of related activities.
NOTE: THIS VOTE WAS TAKEN UNDER A SUSPENSION OF THE RULES TO CUT OFF DEBATE EARLY AND VOTE TO PASS THE BILL, THEREBY REQUIRING A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY FOR PASSAGE.
