Vote to pass a bill that reduces the statue of limitations for personal injury cases in Missouri.
Specifies a statute of limitations of three years for actions that accrue on or after August 28, 2026 for any injury to the person or rights of another that is not from a contract or otherwise provided for by law (Sec. 1)
Specifies a statute of limitations of three years for actions that accrue on or after August 28, 2026 against an insurer relating to uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage (Sec. 1).
Requires legal action to recover damages from injury or illness caused by childhood sexual abuse to commence within twenty years of the plantiff turning twenty-one years or within three years of the date that the plaintiff discovers that their injury or illness was caused by childhood sexual abuse (Sec. 1).
