Vote to pass a bill that reduces the statue of limitations for personal injury cases in Missouri.

Highlights:

• Specifies a statute of limitations of three years for actions that accrue on or after August 28, 2026 for any injury to the person or rights of another that is not from a contract or otherwise provided for by law (Sec. 1)

• Specifies a statute of limitations of three years for actions that accrue on or after August 28, 2026 against an insurer relating to uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage (Sec. 1).

• Requires legal action to recover damages from injury or illness caused by childhood sexual abuse to commence within twenty years of the plantiff turning twenty-one years or within three years of the date that the plaintiff discovers that their injury or illness was caused by childhood sexual abuse (Sec. 1).
