Vote to pass a bill that prohibits school districts from establishing school weeks that are shorter than five days, with exceptions, in Louisiana.

Highlights:

• Requires school weeks to consist of at least five consecutive days, except for acknowledged legal holidays (Sec. 1).

• Exempts both of the following from the requirement of this section (Sec. 1):

• School Districts that receive a performance score of A from the state Department of Education; and

• Any city, parish, or local school system that has had the four day school week on or before December 31, 2025. 

• Specifies that this Act takes effect upon passage (Sec. 2).
