Title: Requires the Governor to Request for Georgia to be Placed in the Atlantic Standard Time Zone to Observe Daylight Saving Year-Round
Vote to amend and pass a bill that requires the Governor of Georgia to request that the state be placed in the Atlantic standard time zone, effectively making daylight saving permanent.
Requires the Governor to request that the United States Secretary of Transportation place Georgia in the Atlantic standard time zone year-round, and to be exempt from daylight saving time (Sec. 2).
Requires the State of Georgia to remain in the eastern standard time zone if the United States Congress authorizes all states to observe daylight saving time year round (Sec. 2).
Repeals all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act (Sec. 3).
