Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Idaho rural health transformation fund.

Highlights:

• Establishes the rural health transformation fund for money received from the federal rural health transformation grant (Sec. 1).

• Establishes a rural health transformation committee with the following powers and duties (Sec. 1):

• Establishment of rules and governance for committee proceedings;

• Establishment of additional requirements for funding subawards;

• Establishment of an award review process with health and welfare officials to fund subawards;

• Receive updates on progress towards funded projects at minimum every quarter;

• Evaluate the potential and success of funded programs;

• Retention of oversight over money in the fund;

• Require a sustainability plan for any initiative funded; and

• Make recommendations to the legislature regarding the use of funds.

• Specifies that the committee must remain active until all funds in the rural transformation fund are expended (Sec. 1).
