Vote to pass a bill that amends the process for creating official summaries on ballot measures in Missouri.

Highlights:

• Specifies that a summary shall appear on the ballot unless it is challenged (Sec. A).

• Specifies that the secretary of state can submit a first revised summary statement to the court by the following period (Sec. A):

• Submitted within 7 days if the action was originated in a year ending in an odd number; and

• Submitted within 3 days if the action originated in a year ending in an even number.

• Specifies that a court may suggest revisions if the revised summary is found to be insufficient or unfair (Sec. A).
