Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits abortion after the detection of a fetal heartbeat in Wyoming.

Highlights:

• Prohibits an individual from performing or inducing the termination of a pregnancy unless the person has first made a determination of whether the unborn child has a detectable fetal heartbeat (Sec. 2).

• Requires the use of standard medical practices and techniques for the determination of a fetal heartbeat (Sec. 2).

• Classifies the penalty for terminating a pregnancy in violation of this article as a felony and establishes a fine of $10,000 maximum (Sec. 2).

• Requires the revocation of a person's professional license to practice if in violation of this Act (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that the board of nursing and pharmacy shall revoke the license of any person if they are convicted (Sec. 3).

• Prohibits an abortion from being performed after the embryo or fetus has reached viability, except when it is necessary to preserve the woman from endangerment to life or health (Sec. 4).

• Requires the performing physician to inform the patient of the opportunity to view an active ultrasound (Sec. 4).
