Vote to pass a bill that authorizes Fairfax County, Virginia to host a casino, with certain stipulations.
Specifies that preference for casino gaming permit applications should be given to entities that intend to make a capital investment of at least $300 million into a casino property and have their name submitted as a preferred gambling operator by eligible localities (Sec. 1).
Requires proposed casino projects to be part of a mixed-use development of no less than 1.5 million square feet (Sec. 1).
Specifies that casino licenses are valid for 10 years beginning on the date of approval with annual compliance checks (Sec. 1).
