Title: Requires Paid Sick Leave for Employees

  • Establishes civil penalties against an employer who violates this section of up to $150 for a first offense, $300 for a second offense, and $500 for each subsequent offense (Sec. 1).

  • Authorizes an aggrieved employee to bring civil action against an employer to recover double the amount of any unpaid sick leave plus any actual damages (Sec. 1).

  • Specifies that this Act takes effect July 1, 2027 (Sec. 2).
