Vote to pass a bill that increases the state's minimum wage to $15 per hour in Virginia.

Highlights:

• Requires employers to pay each of their employees a certain minimum rate by year, as follows (Sec. 1):

• From January 1, 2026, until January 1, 2027, every employer shall pay employees wages at a rate not less than $12.77 per hour;

• From January 1, 2027, until January 1, 2028, every employer shall pay employees wages at a rate not less than $13.75 per hour; and

• From January 1, 2028, until January 1, 2029, every employer shall pay employees wages at a rate not less than $15.00 per hour.
