Title: Prohibits Attorneys From Suggesting Dollar Amounts for Noneconomic Damages
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits attorneys from suggesting dollar amounts for noneconomic damages in Kansas.
Prohibits attorneys from offering the following to a jury in order to suggest an amount for awards for non economic loss (Sec. 1);
Specific dollar amounts;
Range of dollar amounts;
A mathematical formula or units of time; or
A reference to objects or values lacking relevant connections to presented evidence.
Specifies that this Act takes effect following its publication in the Kansas register (Sec. 2).
